Decorate a table with a wooden bowl or earth ware bowl filled
with apples and oranges along with some nuts this is a healthy
way for snacking for children and adults alike, Arrange some orange,
yellow and green candles for your harvest table look, you can
add incense
too. I like to use sandalwood but you can use what aromas you
like, be creative.
The harvest is a time of being thankful for what we do have and what things were offered to us during the months of summer that gave us fruitful bounties for our tables and those things that also fed our mind body and soul.
Reflect back on the things now, maybe you didn’t notice them when they were happening but take time to do so now. I take some orange peelings with some cloves and cinnamon sticks and put them in some simmering water and have the pot deep enough so not to spill over when simmering and then let the aroma fill the air. I sit back and reflect my harvest time. Light the candles.
Let the September breezes gently move across the windows of your mind let yourself express your thankfulness and offer special prayers. Sit back and relax with the aroma of the simmering smells floating to you and just enjoy your special ‘me’ time.
Orange Candle I use will be for cleansing and emotional healing.
Green Candle for what new prosperity that is on the horizon
Yellow Candle for balance and uplifting energy
you can anoint the candles too using almond oil for prosperity.
When you have finished blow out the candles and turned off the simmering water you can keep the simmering cloves, orange peels and cinnamon going for a few hours but if you do please make sure you keep adding more water so not to let it go low and burn.
