Essential tea tree oil is a very pale gold in colour and has a fresh camphoraceous odour. This oil is taken from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia commonly known in Australia as the ‘paper bark tree’. This tree is native to the northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. It is most commonly used as a topical medication as an antiseptic anaesthetic for burns, scratches and bites.
It is used by hospitals and doctors for MRSA as when it is used at lower percentages than 10% it has been found to cause a resistance to the MRSA bug.

Beauty Tips
You can also use tea tree oil as a conditioner on your hair and leave it on to illuminate head lice. Using the conditioner on your hair makes it shiny and slippery so the lice have difficulty staying attached to the strands of hair. The oil used in shampoo is also excellent in ridding your head of dandruff!
