Crystals can be small polished stones, perhaps set
in jewellery, clusters or chunks of crystal, highly polished and
sparkling, all of these are true of the various types of crystal
and gemstones and there are many ways that they can be used.
When you decide to collect your crystals think about
the reason behind you decision. Do you want to connect to your higher
self? Do you want to use your stones for healing? Or are you just
interested in the texture and colour of the stone. What ever your
reason it is important to learn about each crystal or gemstone so
that you can use it to its full potential.
Once you have decided it is then time to go and
buy your crystal or gemstones, take your time when looking and buying
your crystals or gemstones because it is a very personal experience.
Lots of people say that they get drawn to a particular stone and
feel compelled to buy it but can't explain why, that is perfectly
normal as sometimes the crystals may pick you!! Please don't be
afraid to pick up the crystals feel them and roll them around in
your hand, the shop assistants will not mind as they understand
this is what we do and if the stones seem to 'stick' to your fingers
this is a good sign.
Each stone has it's own energy field, this means
vibrations in and around each stone this is what gives the stone
power, energy is the source of power. Be confident in choosing your
stones every stone is unique and has to feel comfortable with the
person using it.
People often ask "What if the crystal is chiped
or broekn does that effect the vibrational poer of it?" The
answer to that is not unless you buy crystals that have been specifically
cut and polished for use as either wands or pendulums
most commercially available stones have been 'polished', (from their
natural state), into crystals by using the tumble method. Some naturally
occurring flaws are nor polished out during this tumbling process
- this however, does not mean that their vibration or power is any
less effective.
To ensure crystals retain their power they do need to be cleansed
