Crop Circles are beautiful, mysterious
phenomena’s that appear in fields in the UK, countries thought
Europe and in the United States of America. There are many theories
about them but in breath taking beauty they still hold the secrets
of their unknown origins.
Crop circles appear to be a modern
phenomenon but are they? The answer to that question is no they
have been around for quite some time the first recorded crop circle
date back to the 17th century, they have been appearing regularly
since then although they were not widely known about until the
1980s.
The appearances of these mysterious
creations have raised many questions are they the work of humans,
Mother Nature herself or even created by alien beings, and it
seems that they could be accredited to all of these.
Some if the theories that have
come along to explain the crop circle phenomenon are –
Unusual weather patterns
Messages form extra-terrestrial beings
Confirmation that other dimensions exist
A mechanism to move our way of thinking forward
Or they may even be from the future
This beautiful and intricately designed creation
was the largest crop circle ever recorded, it was found in a wheat
field at Milk Hill, Wansdyke, Wiltshire, UK on the 12 of August
2001
Do they hold hidden messages? Are
they a code we are yet to be able to translate?
The question of “are they
a hoax or not” springs to mind? It appears that some crop
circles definitely are hoaxes and some people have gone to some
quite elaborate lengths to create them. Doug Bower and Dave Chorley,
two retired gentlemen from England, at the beginning of the 1990s
claimed to have created several circles using simple tools such
as wire and boards to create their circles. This seemed to explain
this unusual phenomenon but not everyone was satisfied that this
was the real explanation for all of the geometric crop occurrences.
Researchers have revealed that there were some extraneous variables
attached to some of the configurations which did not back the
fact that all these circles were made by hoaxers. They revealed
that some of these quite elaborate designs appeared over night
and in some cases almost instantaneously this being substantiated
with eye witness reports.
Researchers studied the board and
wire method of Doug Bower and Dave Chorley, in order to validate
or refute their claims about the circles and discovered that during
this process the crops would have a degree of flattening at the
top of the stalks or that the grain would in fact be broken. In
opposition to this, some remarkable circles have been discovered
where the crop has been consistently bent at the bottom with no
damage or breakage to the stocks at all. It would seem then that
some of these beautiful crop circles are some what more than just
hoaxes.
Whether hoax or not they are truly
beautiful works of art, take the time to stop and view them and
enjoy them for their mysterious silent splendour and contemplate
their origins.
