Herbs for protection and purification.... for your home
Herbs for Protection and Purification
Here is a list of common plants and herbs that are very good for removing (and preventing) negative energy: aloe, anise, barley, basil, bay leaf, cactus, carnation, cedar, chamomile, cinnamon, clove, cumin, curry, dill, dragon's blood, eucalyptus, fennel, fern, flax, frankincense, garlic, ginseng, ivy, lavendar, myrrh, onion, parsley, pepper, peppermint, rosemary, sage, thyme, violet.
After your house cleansing, fill some pretty dishes with these protective herbs, and place them on tables or shelves in the main parts of your home. (Caution: Some herbs are toxic, be sure to keep out of reach of children and animals!) The herbs should be replaced every few months. However, don't toss the old herbs in the trash - rather, sprinkle them outside, to return them to Nature so they can be recycled. :-) You can also make pretty herbal sachets or "charm bags" to hang on doors or tuck in a drawer. Place one in your car for protection while traveling. Sprinkle protective herbs on the tops of doorways, or at the thresholds of your home.

Re: Herbs for protection and purification.... for your home
I found this online and thought it would fit here if anyone is interested..
Rosemary
Rosemary is a common culinary herb that is also used widely for spiritual cleansing. In addition to its powers of purification, rosemary is thought to be a protective and healing herb. Burn dried rosemary needles on an incense charcoal to smudge a place, item or person, or brew a strong tea with fresh or dried rosemary and pour it in a bath for personal cleansing.
Sage
Sage has been used for centuries by Native Americans as an herb for purification and healing. In their article published on the website Asunam, Native American spirituality practitioners Adrienne Borden and Steve Coyote share that leaves or branches of dried sage are burned in sacred ceremonies to "drive out bad spirits, feelings, or influences and to keep bad spirits from entering the area where a ceremony takes place." The variety of sage used by Native Americans differs according to what is available in the region. All varieties contain cleansing properties, including sage's cousin, Artemisia. Wrapping fresh sage leaves around an item is believed to cleanse the item, and wands or wreaths made of sage are hung in the home for continuous spiritual cleansing.
Cedar
Cedar is a power herb for clearing negative energy and promoting healing. Indigenous tribes of the Pacific Northwest burn dried branches of cedar in the same way other tribes burn sage. Fresh branches of cedar are waved throughout a home to cleanse it of bad energy and welcome good influences. Boughs of cedar are sometimes used as a bed for someone receiving healing or as ceremonial "base" during a vision quest where the quester can receive purification.
Thyme
Thyme is especially helpful for spiritual cleansing when matters of love are involved. Use thyme tea in a bath to cleanse yourself after a difficult breakup. Purify any gifts you might have received from an ex-lover but want to keep, by washing them in a strong decoction of thyme or lay them in a living mound of thyme during the full moon.

Re: Herbs for protection and purification.... for your home
This isn't herbs however a person can call upon the Jaguar to destroy not good energies. The Jaguar spirit possesses abilities of which can create, recreate and destroy. Using the Jaguar spirit can help a person gain control of what they feel a lack of control in. Sometimes we feel under attack by someone's energy call upon the Jaguar and use your claws to rip through energies that are unwanted. Visualize the Jaguar as he becomes a helper, thus helping with your strength and your own control in situations. A person can visualize this Jaguar spirit softly padding with his paws as he stalks those unwanted energies, he roams from room to room and seizes the moment in pouncing on those energies. Let your visions of him see how strong he becomes once he goes into action. After all is cleared thank this great powerful Jaguar spirit. He is a powerful animal with self-determination and succeeds that which he undertakes he can show you a bit or two in how to perfect your own pouncing skills and seize opportunities.
