Welcome to Shamanic Pathways tonight’s topic is Shaman
Stones
Shaman stones -Healing journey - is how they are described but they
are much more than this, they are used mainly to heal both the self
and others.
I will, at this point, like to explain briefly the difference between
healing and curing.
Healing is the bringing back to balance the spirit harmony of a person.
If the person being healed does not change the situation that caused
the illness, then they will not be cured and the healing will be on
going.
What are shaman stones?
Shaman stones are high energy stones and are powerful allies to have
for personal path workings and for healing. In personal matters the
stones can connect the shaman with earth energies. They are powerful
in grounding and energies. The stones can be used for contacting and
interacting with our animal spirit guides.
The stones are powerful protectors, they can absorb negative energy
and transform it in to positive useful energy. If one stone is placed
at the crown and another is placed on the soles of the feet, the shaman
stones can purify and normalise the flow of chakra energies in the
one being treated. The stones seem to have a positive effect on any
area they are placed over. You can use the stones on your third eye
to activate clairvoyance, and distant events visions, both past and
future.
So where do the stones come from and what are they made of?
Some scientists believe the stones are as old as 130 million to 150
million years old and until recently were thought to be found in only
one place, this being at the base of the Navajo sandstone formations
on the Moqui Reservation, this is why they are also called Moqui marbles.
It has since been found that these stones are in fact all over the
world it seems as if by some quirk that every tribe at that time had
its own shaman stones.
All the stones are roughly spherical in shape and all are roughly
the same colour, the inside of the stone is hard packed sandstone
and the outside is a mixture of iron, phosphorus and lime.
How they were formed is a mystery but here are some of the theories.
They were formed by meteor splash over that covered sandy areas and
eventually made the marbles. Another theory is that they were inadvertently
made by super heating the sand in native fire pits. The stones, however
they came to be, have more magnetic energy than a lode stone, and
this is often given as an explanation on why they seem to work.
Other stones that a shaman can use
There are other stones that a shaman can use and here are some examples,
I will give the name and what the stone does.
Chalcedony- Nurturing stone -used to balance the whole self -alleviates
hostility and irritability. Encourages openness
Healers Gold - also called Pyrite - Encourages positivity - Inspiration-
Said to be the source of Prana (life energy) -Balances the chakra
energies.
Lolite -also called Cordierite- used to stimulate the third eye-Enhances
inner knowing. Gives clarity to visions.
Questions
I think I have a shamanic stone? Which one do you have? When I was
studying geology first time, I was out on a filed trip and I found
a 40million years old sequoia root fossil, its where the organic matter
has rotted and been filled with a sandstone. Do you think it could
have healing properties? It’s about 15 inches long by about
10 round. It is said that fossils can heal past life issues.
How many are in a set? As many as you want, one is ok, two are better,
one male and one female.
Any particular colour? Normally they are black or a rust colour.
How do you tell the male from the female stone? With a pendulum,
if held over the stone and it swings left and right its male and if
it circles it is female.
Can you use the stones to ask yes and no questions, and how would
you do that ? If you lay down with a stone in one hand and another
in your other hand then relax the stones are capable of many things.
All of which are positive for the holder.
Ok all that remains is for me to say thank you for listening and
thank you for your time.
